We live with my in-laws right now in one room in the basement. We pay $500/month for that room. We share the kitchen, bathroom, and living room with them, although “share” is not quite the word I would use. It is their house and we are guests. It is not comfortable and seeing my in-laws every day is unhealthy for me, Mya, and Andrew. We need room to breathe and grow.

We were originally looking for a two bedroom, but it hit me that considering we are only looking for a place for a year, it does not make sense to pay $1600+ for a temporary apartment. We decided to look for a one bedroom. Mya sleeps with us anyway so she does not really need her own room. She does however need her own space, so having a bedroom big enough for a crib was a necessity.

Well, we found a place. A cozy (small) 1 bedroom with a patio and a nice size living room. IT also has an eat-in kitchen. It is 1250/month ALL UTILITIES INCLUDED. And cable and broadband Internet is also included. How cool is that? It is not too far from where we live now so it is a familiar and nice area. We move July 1.
