There is this woman that I work with who could use a serious colon cleanse for no other reason than her attitude. She is simply nasty. You know, the kind of nasty that people would rather die to get away from than live and have to deal with. She got into a confrontation with a student who was wearing his hat while in the school ( a no-no as it promotes gang activity) and he attempted to hit her. I, without hesitation jumped in between them partly to protect her, but partly because I was not thinking.
Now the running joke at work is that I need to see a therapist. After all, who in their right mind would protect a crabby woman who has yet to say thank you. Well, I never said that I was sane. LOL.

Amazing, isn’t it? How people seem to be truly oblivious to others’ pain? Gypsy (http://mysticgypsygirl.blogspot.com) wrote about this today, too. Go see her site.
Kindred souls my friend.

I don’t think it’s being oblivious as much as not caring, or caring too much about the truly stupid things in life
You did what any sane caring person would do–though you could have been hurt
On New Years Eve we saw a woman who looked crazy screaming in the woods in Central Park. My friends and I ran to her–other people thought we were crazy
Turned out her fiancee had just broken off with her and she was beyond desolate–but she could have been truly crazed with knife etc. Sometimes you just have to take that chance
