11: Eve’s Release
Before the earth was formed
with blue skies, and lust,
I wanted you.
There were no words for it then,
just a feeling
of longing for
something to satisfy my ravenous
need.
Before the days had a name
and the nights had the moon,
I could taste you.
The saltiness of your heat
and the sweetness of your tongue
called me to release.
I was yours.
And after the forbidden was taken
and the hidden revealed
I needed you more.
The simple stroke of my thigh
gave me faith
and the desire was mine
forever.
And after my innocence was shattered
and the heartbreak was real
I never forgot.
The caress of your lips have left
me saturated with relief
and I am alive
feeling your love.
